Born in Enfield in March 1986 Alexandra started dance lessons when she was old enough at a local dance school. It was quickly discovered that she had a real joy for performing and was soon performing in dance competitions in London and the Home Counties. Alexandra embraced all the dance disciplines including Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz, Contemporary and more. She passed all her RAD and ISTD dance exams and competed successfully in the All England Dance Competition for a number of years.
During this time she had her first taste of performing professionally in pantomimes at the Millfield Theater in Edmonton, North London, which she thoroughly enjoyed.
Alexandra decided that she would like to enter Musical Theatre as her chosen profession. She auditioned for a number of Musical Theatre Colleges and was awarded scholarships at all of them. She chose to attend Millennium Dance 2000 musical Theatre College in Hampstead, London, as she felt that it was the best college for her as an individual and would bring out her unique talents.
Whilst at Millennium Dance 2000 she was honoured to be chosen to sing solo at the Theater Cares at Christmas Concert at St Paul’s in London’s Covent Garden alongside stars from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Lion King, Blood Brothers and a host of other West End Stars.
After graduating in 2005 Alexandra was delighted to be chosen to play Buffy in the No 1 UK Tour of Starlight Express. She was also understudy for the leading role of Pearl and finally had the opportunity to perform as Pearl in Bournmouth.
Following Starlight Express she joined P&O Cruises and performed on the Oceana as a lead vocalist. She had a fantastic 6 months and gained a lot of experience.
This was followed by performing in the 2008 Performance of Chess at The Royal Albert Hall.
Alexandra will next be performing as Ruth in the UK Tour of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers which starts in August 2008
